The Portage Bay Big Band Concert and Dance

Posted by Kathleen Cragun

Many Issaquah Highlands residents danced the night away last Saturday night. The band was excellent, so even if you were just listening it was fun. A balmy, not too hot night, a Central Park that could accommodate  many people without fear of claustrophobia, and kids, moms, dads, even dogs and food from Marcella’s, what more could you want?

Ice Cream? It was there too, thanks to World Pies.

At first people were shy and few ventured out to cut a rug.

But it didn’t take long for the beat to get folks tappin’, jumpin’ and dancin’.

In no time the dance floor was overflowing onto the grass.

Lots of folks just watched and enjoyed. I saw lots of smiles and the kids seemed to have more fun than anyone. Well, maybe not, it was hard to tell who was having the most fun!

Thanks Issaquah Highlands, This was a great event! More, More please!
