Kids Fall In Love With The Cougar Mountain Zoo Birds And Animals

There is an important lesson our grandkids taught their parents about attending the zoo. Below is a list of the ten worlds of the Cougar Mountain Zoological Park. Take a look and I will tell you more.

Now to the story. The last Mini-Lecture above was one of our grandchildrens favorites. Talk about up front and close. These little (or should I saw large) Macaws are so close they can pick your glasses off your face. Take it from me, watch out, for when you aren’t looking you are vulnerable to the fast grasp of the Macaw.

Now for the rest of the story. The pressure is on. The grandchildren liked the Macaw. A neighbor is moving and has a big white one to part with, for free. Momma doesn’t want the big white one. The kids loved the big white one. Who is going to win the battle of “Oh Please” vs “I don’t want that silly bird”. I am betting on the grandkids.

Actually, I think our grandkids took the best option, wanting the Macaw. The youngest one liked the Tigers the best.

A note on the Tigers. The Zoo called me yesterday. Taj and Almos’ are coming up to their one year birthday. There is a gala birthday party for the little big guys in May. They now weigh over 200 pounds. Have you seem them lately? Me neither. Time to get the camera out. Lar
